Yvonne is a multi-award winning Middle Eastern performing artist who has focused her studies in Egyptian “Raqs Sharqi” and Cabaret stylization, but who also has developed her own unique style with a progressive twist. Over the past 10 years her talent as an instructor and performing artist has captivated audiences with her authentic style and has earned her the respect of south Florida’s belly dance scene. She has also performed as a core member of Virginia’s (of Miami) Wa Nour Al Ayun since 2008. Virginia is an internationally acclaimed and sought after performer, instructor and choreographer. Yvonne is certified in the Suhaila Salimpour format level 2 and is currently working towards her level 3 certification. Suhaila Salimpour is a 2nd generation master instructor and performer, she runs one of the most internationally recognized belly dance certification programs. Yvonne has travelled abroad to Egypt’s international Ahlan Wa Sahlan belly dance festival, Lebanon, Dubai and other exotic locations to deepen her studies of Middle Eastern dance and culture. “Middle Eastern dance offers a great outlet for artistic expression, fitness and cultural awareness.
